The Problem of population

As is shown in the chart, in the last century, world population has increased dramatically, doubling in every-shortening cycles. In 1930, world population stood at 2 billion, and a brief 48 years later, it reached over 4 billion. But in 2001, it increased another 2 billion in less than half of 48 years. Population explosion has become a serious problem.
Population growth has imposed enormous pressure on world food supplies, making it difficult to avoid hunger and starvation on a large scale. In addition to food shortage, the growing population poses a threat to the environment. Land resources are reducing very fast and raw materials are being consumed at an increasing rate. At the same time, overpopulation affects the quality of life due to the inadequate supply of land.
It is clear that the problem of population needs careful attention. Facing the world population explosion in the near future, we must carry out the birth control program in order to save the mankind and save the world.
